The nations in central and eastern Europe (CEE) face triple challenges of the ongoing economic an political transition, continuing vulnerability to environmental hazards, and longer term impacts of global climate change. The overall aim of the project is to make a contribution to successfully cope with these challenges.

12 December, Global Day of Action against climate change: events in Bulgaria

On 12 December, International Day of Action on Climate Change, a number of events will be held at the entrance of South Park in Sofia, Bulgaria, to draw public attention to the international summit in Copenhagen and policies to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The emphasis will be on easy and accessible things which everyone can do to reduce their carbon footprint.
